The Wrestler trailer!!!

Doesn't come out till Dec 31st. Directed by one of my faves, Darren Aronofsky, one of only two directors that I have seen all their movies. The other being Wes Anderson! SOoooo definitely go see this at some point and Slumdog Millionaire when it comes to Boston next Friday! And Milk which comes out the Wed after Thanksgiving!

I'm glad it's finally out cause I've been waiting for it for a long time. Now I am just waiting for the Wrestler trailer. Slumdog comes out in boston on November 21st which is perfect cause I'll be home for thanksgiving so I can go see it! woo-hoo!

I got Guitar Hero World Tour. The drums are really cool but really hard. I still like the Guitar Hero 2 white guitar better than the new one even though the click is nicer on the newer one, like the sound it makes when you strum sounds like a mouse, a computer mouse. There are a lot of songs and some of them are awesome and really fun to play and some are awful to play. It got a 7.9 on IGN which is bogus, even though I can kinda see where they are coming from.

I am doing pretty well with my new guitar. The end of this month means I've been playing for 5 months now. I am almost done learning Breathe by Pink Floyd which is cool. David Gilmour is my god. Fender is coming out with this David Gilmour signature Strat which is designed by him and his guitar technician so that's really cool. If I had 3 grand I would totally buy it. My roommate Brandon is grumpy all the time and goes to bed at liek 10:30, even though I don't really have a problem with it. But he never turns off the light when he goes to bed he just climbs up into his bed with his clothes on and turns towards the wall and just lies there. So then I get up and go to the bathroom and when I come back I turn off the light for him cause he's a bitch haha.

My mom is moving in to the new rental house in like 2 days I think. It's located on the Glades in Minot, not past the gate, like a few house before facing the ocean. It's a duplex and our other side house roommate is named Mark and he seems cool I guess. He's like 45 or something. He has a surfboard in the basement so that's cool I guess. The house is cool. It's got this big main room with a nice kitchen and living room and there's this weird loft thing which my brother gets to sleep in. It has it's own balcony so he can go and smoke doobies on it at night lolz. I get the room downstairs right down the hall from my mom's room and my room is cool, I am fine with it, it's actually big so that's cool. my mom says she's gonna live for there a year and then something else. She said I have to move in with her when I come home for...........christmas break? I hope not before.

Burn After Reading, the Coen Brother's newest, is coming out tomorrow and is surprisingly going to be at the Dartmouth Mall so I'll probably end up seeing it tomorrow or Saturday which is awesome.

The movies I am looking forward to the most (in order of course):

1. The Wrestler, which is Darren Aronofsky's new movie. He also directed Pi, Requiem For a Dream, one of my favorite movies of all time, and the Fountain. Mickey Rourke is in it. I don't know if anyone knows who he is but he was Marv in Sin City if that helps? But Mickey Rourke is a pro wrestler who is losing his skills and getting old and such. Clint Mansell's score features guitar from Slash! You may recognize Clint's score from Requiem for a Dream, which has been used multiple times in trailers, such as LOTR: the Two Towers and Sunshine. They don't have a release date yet but it's almost certainly going to be in this year to eligible for Oscar yummies. A lot of the scenes are improvised as well and I have heard is has a very realistic quality to it which is awesome. I cannot wait.

2. Slumdog Millionaire, which is Danny Boyle's newest. He also directed Trainspotting, one of my faves, and Sunshine which I rented but never got to watch for some reason? But it's about an Indian boy (the country) who goes on to the Indian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire because the girl he loves is a big fan of the show. Haha it doesn't sound like the best but I saw a clip and it looks great. Neither of these movies have trailers yet though, but probably sometime soon. This movie is going to be totally different, style wise, than anything I have likely seen before. I heard they shot a scene at the Taj Mahal entirely with a Canon SLR camera as to not attract attention. Awesome.

3. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Latest by David Fincher, who did Se7en, Fight Club, and Zodiac, who I also love haha. Some of you may have seen the trailer. I forget what movie it was shown at but the trailer is fucking amazing and should be watched by you guys right now if you haven't seen it! Here:

But it stars Brad Pitt. What else to say? Looks amazing.

4. The Spirit: Frank Miller, one of the most famous graphic novelists of all time, who wrote Sin City and 300, is directing this one, which is actually another author's graphic novel series. Scarlet Jo is in it and so is Samuel L!!!!!!! Plus a lot of hot women. Hah. It looks very similar to Robert Rodriguez's Sin City, no surprise there. Here's the trailer:

5. Milk: I already talked about it before. Gus Van Sant directs, who did Good Will Hunting and a few others.

6. Synecdoche, New York: I am a big fan of Charlie Kaufman's movies, who has written Being John Malckovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind and like two others I have not seen. But he is directing this one! I have heard it is very complex. Not a surprise. It stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Katherine Keener, who I feel is in like 40 movies that are coming out, LOL, Emily Watson, Michelle Williams, Diane Weist and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Hoffman is a struggling theater director who creates a life size replica of NYC in a warehouse and it revolves around that and his relationship with people I think. No trailer as of yet!

7. Che: Well I don't know what is going to happen to this movie. First off it's directed by the awesome Steven Soderberg! He did Traffic and some others! But it stars Benicio del Toro as Che Guevara! So it's basically 4 hours long. For a long time no one knew how they were gonna produce it, meaning no one wants to go see a 4 hour movie. At the Cannes film festival it was shown at two seperate movies. One of them is Che the revolutionary and the other is Che the diplomat. They recently just have someone buy it so it has a distributor but no release date and no trailer yet. haha figures.

8. W.: It's about da Bush! Obv! Awesome cast with Josh Brolin, who played the lead in No Country for Old Men, is playing big dubya, and he looks and acts surprisingly like him. Elizabeth Banks is his wife. She's going to be in Zack and Miri Make a Porno which I'll talk about in a second. Even bigger than those two actors is that it's by Oliver Stone! Legend! I am not crazy about him but he does make great controversial and political movies. No one knows what it's about, whether it's for or against the Bush Admin. But check out the trailer, which tells us nothing really haha:

9. Zack and Miri Make a Porno: Kevin Smith's latest! Starring Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks, they are room mates and to pay the bills they decide to make a porno. It has gotten very positive reviews so far and one calls it his funniest movie by far. Cool! I am not a huge fan of Smith but I do like his movies for the most part. 10. The Road: The book is written by Cormac McCarthy who wrote No Country for Old Men. It's an awesome book. Read it! It's about a man, played by Viggo Mortenson, and his young son and there journey to the coast in a post apocalyptic world. No trailer yet. Charlize Theron is in it and she plays his wife who has almost no role in the book at all except for a few vague flashbacks to her. People think that it's going to focus on her a little bit more. No idea who the director is, and I don't know how good it is going to be. To recreate a scorched earth is going to be hard and I think Viggo isn't the greatest choice for the dad, although I don't know who I would pick. Sigur Ros is doing the soundtrack if your into them.

Here's the link to the trailer for the movie Milk. I've been waiting for this trailer for a long time and it blew me away. I don't even know the last time a trailer left such an impact on me. I am still in shock and watched it like 10 minutes ago. It's about Harvey Milk, who, if you haven't heard of him before, was the first openly gay elected political official in the US. Sean Penn plays him with James Franco as his lover! Also there is Emile Hirsch if that's how you spell his last name. I am very excited for this now. Watch it!
